Uninstall GlobalProtect on macOS

Instructions

  1. Open the Finder and go to the Applications folder then control-click GlobalProtect app and select Show Package Contents.

  2. Open Contents folder.

  3. Open MacOS folder.

  4. Control-click GlobalProtect app and select Move to Trash.

  5. Enter your password when prompted.

  6. Click on the Go menu and select Utilities.

  7. Locate the Activity Monitor icon on the screen and double-click on it to open it.

  8. Under Activity Monitor, locate GlobalProtect process and double-click on it to see details.

  9. Click Quit button located on the bottom of the GlobalProtect dialogue box.

  10. Another dialog box will pop up, asking if you are sure you would like to quit the this process. Click the Force Quit button.

  11. You can now go back to Finder and go to the Applications folder then control-click GlobalProtect app and select Move to Trash.

  12. Click Continue when prompted with a message "The application GlobalProtect is hosting system extensions..."

  13. Enter your password when prompted.

  14. Empty Trash.

If removing using the above steps does not work, download the globalprotect installer from fcohvpn.gpcloudservice.com. Open the file, and when running, select the “uninstall globalprotect” option. Follow the prompts to remove.
