On the iPad, you can see your VPN connection status in the upper-right corner of your home screen, near your Wi-Fi and battery icons. If the VPN icon is present, you’re connected. If it’s not there, you’re not connected.
If you have other VPN software installed, the icon may indicate connectivity with a non-Franklin-County service like ExpressVPN, NordVPN, or other popular services.
iPhone Control Center
On the iPhone, you can swipe down from the top-right corner of any screen to reach Control Center. From there, you can see whether you’re connected to the VPN in the upper-left corner, next to the Wi-Fi signal indicator and the name of your mobile carrier. If the VPN icon is present, you’re connected. If it’s not there, you’re not connected.
If you have other VPN software installed, the icon may indicate connectivity with a non-Franklin-County service like ExpressVPN, NordVPN, or other popular services.
GlobalProtect App
For the most complete information on your connection status, open the GlobalProtect app on your iPhone or iPad. When connected, the app shows a bright blue background and a green shield icon in the center of the screen. When disconnected, the app and button appear gray. You can also determine whether you have a failed connection or check other info in via the three-lines menu button.
