How to access Outlook on the web from any browser
Introduction:
Need to access your Outlook email, calendar, or contacts but don’t have access to your day-to-day PC or a configured mobile device? No problem! You can use a current web browser on any Internet- connected device and get into Outlook from anywhere. It works from small smartphone screens up to giant desktop monitors.
Below are basic instructions to login to Outlook on the web, and you can access lots more tips and training from Microsoft here: Microsoft 365 Training
If you have not already setup PingID, stop here and do that first. You need PingID to securely access County email and other cloud or remote work services from outside the County network.

Instructions
Open a current-generation web browser from any Internet-connected desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
Outlook on the web works on virtually any screen size, including smartphones.
Visit this website address: outlook.office365.com
To sign in, enter your formal work email address and click or tap Next
Enter your regular Windows / PC / email password and click or tap Sign in
If you’re outside the Franklin County network, you must authorize your remote login via PingID. This requires prior setup, as noted at the start of these instructions.
If you’re inside the Franklin County network, skip to the next step.
If you’re on your own device and plan to login to your webmail regularly, click or tap Yes.
On public or shared devices, you should probably click or tap No, just to be safe.
Once you’ve successfully logged in, you’ll be dropped into your email Inbox, ready to read and send email, check your calendar, look up contacts, and so forth.
Outlook on the web now has many, many options to customize your experience and make using Outlook online easier and more efficient.
To access a complete list of preferences and options, including things like signatures, mail rules, automatic replies (out-of-office messages), and more, click or tap the Gear icon in the upper-right corner of your browser window, then click or tap the View all Outlook settings link in the bottom-right of your browser window.
If you plan to use Outlook online regularly, we recommend you spend some time looking through and trying out all the relevant preferences.
