Setup Mail, Calendar, and Contacts on iPhone and iPad

Setup Mail, Calendar, and Contacts on iPhone and iPad

Introduction

With the step-by-step instructions below, you can connect your County email, calendar, and contacts with your iPhone or iPad.

We recommend and actively support the official Outlook mobile app, but we know many people prefer built-in apps and integrations, so we offer these instructions to help employees complete their own device setups independently.

For remote access to Microsoft 365 resources on the web or via mobile app, you must first be enrolled in PingID.

Setting up Mail on your device

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad

  2. Scroll down and tap Passwords & Accounts

  3. At the bottom of your accounts list, tap Add Account

  4. Tap the Microsoft Exchange option

  5. Enter your formal work email address and give the account a Description (whatever you prefer), then tap Next in the upper-right corner

  6. Tap the Sign In button

  7. Enter your regular Windows / PC / email password and tap Sign in

  8. If you’re outside the Franklin County network, you must authorize your remote login via PingID. This requires prior setup, as noted at the start of these instructions.\

    1. if you’re inside the Franklin County network, skip to the next step.

  9. Once you’re successfully logged in, you can pick which elements of your Franklin County account are synced with your device.

    • We recommend Mail, Contacts, and Calendars.

    • Reminders will sync with Outlook’s To Do items.

    • Notes will sync with Outlook’s Notes.

  10. When you’re dropped back onto the Passwords & Accounts screen, confirm you see your new account in your accounts list.

  11. Email and Calendars will begin to sync immediately. If you switch over to the Mail or Calendar apps you should see your County email and calendar entries begin to appear.

Congratulations!

Your iOS device is now configured to work with your Office 365 account at Franklin County.
