Turn on and setup iPhone

Learn how to activate your new Apple® iPhone® by following these steps.

Prepare for setup

To make setup as smooth as possible, have the following items available:

  • An internet connection through a Wi-Fi network.

    • You will need the password for this network.

Turn on your iPhone

  1. Press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears.
    Once your phone is on, you will see “Hello” in multiple languages.

    1. If the iPhone doesn’t turn on, it may need to be charged before setup.

During setup, if you’re blind or have low vision, you can triple-click the side button (on an iPhone without a home button) or triple-click the Home button (on other iPhone models with a home button) to turn on Voice Over, the screen reader. You can also double-tap the screen with three fingers to turn on Zoom.

Seting-up of your iPhone

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get started.

  2. Tap the language in which you want your phone to be displayed in.

  3. Tap on “United State” on the “Select your County or Region” screen

  4. Adjust the slider until you are comfortable with the text and icon size.
    These settings can be changed later after the phone has been set up.

  2. Tap “Display & Text Size”

  • If you would like Bold text tap “Bold text”

  • For larger text tap “Larger Text”

 

  1. Tap “Set Up Without Another Device” at the bottom of the screen

  1. Connecect the iPhone to any Wi-Fi network

  1. Select “Enroll this iPhone”

  1. Sign into Microsoft with your county email and password

  1. Wait for the device to configure your iPhone

    1. This may take a wile due to the Wi-Fi speed and other conditions

  2. Tap Enable Location Services

    1. This is so if your iPhone is lost or stolen the Data Center can enable lost mode.

At this point,
- you may be asked to set a pin to unlock the device
and
- you may be asked “Enter the password for the Exchange account ‘Your Email’”.

Please follow the on screen instructions for these

  1. Find Company Portal on the Home Screen

  2. Tap Sign in and sign in with your County email and password.

  3. Next Tap ok and follow the on screen prompt

  4. Once you get to the Apps menu in the Company Portal, close the app.

    1. This can be done by either swiping up from the bottom or pressing the home button

  5. Find and open the Settings app on your home screen

  6. At the top of the screen tap “Sign in to your iPhone”

  7. Tap Sign in Manually

  8. Enter your County email

  9. Sign into Microsoft with your county password
