CrowdStrike Endpoint Detection & Response
CrowdStrike Endpoint Detection & Response
As part of FCDC’s ongoing commitment to keeping all data and information safe, the Security Team is upgrading the county’s cybersecurity software.
What is Happening?
Starting in May 2024, the county will be transitioning from Carbon Black to CrowdStrike to protect the servers and endpoint devices.
What is CrowdStrike?
CrowdStrike is a cloud-based application that runs in the background, constantly scanning for cyber threats like viruses, malware, and hacking attempts.
What Benefits does CrowdStrike Provide?
Here are some key things CrowdStrike does to provide protection:
Block harmful programs: stops breaches, ransomware, and cyber-attacks from infecting county computers.
Monitor for suspicious activity: monitors county devices, looking for anything unusual that might indicate a cyberattack.
Respond quickly to threats: If a threat is detected, take action to stop it before it can do any damage.
