Microsoft Edge: Export Favorites

This article will teach you how to export Favorites from Microsoft Edge.

Here are some reasons why we would want to do this.

Safeguard against data loss: Accidents happen, and hardware failures or software issues can sometimes lead to losing your favorites. Exporting them creates a backup copy that you can use to restore your bookmarks if needed.
Switch devices or browsers: Should you move to a new computer or switch to a different browser? Exporting your Edge favorites allows you to easily import them into your new environment, saving time and effort manually recreating them.
Share specific bookmarks: Need to share a few websites with someone? Instead of sending them individually, you can export specific favorites you want to share and send them the HTML file.

Instructions

Open Microsoft Edge.
Click on the “Favorites menu” in the top right corner of the browser window.
In the Favorites panel, click on the “three-dot menu”.
Choose “Export favorites”.
A file dialog will appear. Choose your computer's “Desktop” location to save the exported favorites file.
Click “Save”.
