Adding Account to Personal or Shared Safe

Adding Account to Personal or Shared Safe

An advantage of having a personal safe (if your agency is not using CyberArk Workforce Password Management ) or a team shared safe in CyberArk is that they can be used to keep track of your accounts to various apps and resources, such as web apps. This would be similar to keeping track of your usernames and passwords in a password manager, only this one is stored in the Privileged Access Management (PAM) vault.

Personal Safes

Personal safes are created upon request. If you require a personal safe, please submit a Jira request and mention “PAM personal safe” in the request description.
Note: If your agency is already using Workforce Password Management, a personal safe will not be created for you and you’ll need to use Workforce Password Management instead.

Shared Safes

Some teams already have shared safes in use, check with your team manager first. If your team requires a shared safe, please have your manager submit a Jira request and mention “team shared safe” in the request description.

Personal and/or shared safe accounts will not be managed by CyberArk (password will not be rotated), but will simply be placed here for safe-keeping and password retrieval as needed.
