How to turn off UBlock website blocking for a specific site
Introduction
FCDC has released UBlock to Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge web browsers on County PCs. It’s a tool for blocking website advertising, user tracking, and other bad parts of being on the Internet. However, sometimes you need access to a site that UBlock has in fact blocked, and you need to exempt it from UBlock’s filters.
Instructions
[1] If the ad blocker in your browser (UBlock) blocks a link to a site, you will receive a warning that looks something like this:
[2] To disable strict blocking, select either the Temporarily button or the Permanently button.
Permanently is best if you know you will visit the site often.
If you select Temporarily you’ll be alerted each time you visit the site.
Alternatively, you can always click on the UBlock icon on the top right corner of your browser:
You will be presented with a big blue button that you can click to turn UBlock off (gray) for the site:
