Once your GlobalProtect VPN software is installed and working, you will at times need to check your connection status or get additional connection details.
Instructions by Device Type
Windows:
Check your connection status via the GlobalProtect icon in the System Tray (near the clock)
Click on Show Hidden Icons (this is the “rooftop” symbol near the clock)

Look for the Globe icon

If you click the Globe icon, you will see details on your status. Example messages:
For additional information on your connection, you can click the three-lines menu and select one of the pop-up options.

macOS:
Check your connection status via the GlobalProtect icon on the menu bar (to the left of the clock)
For additional information on your connection, you can click the three-lines menu and select one of the pop-up options.

iPhone / iPad:
Check your VPN status from built-in device screens or open the GlobalProtect app directly
iPad Home Screen
On the iPad, you can see your VPN connection status in the upper-right corner of your home screen, near your Wi-Fi and battery icons. If the VPN icon is present, you’re connected. If it’s not there, you’re not connected.

iPhone Control Center
On the iPhone, you can swipe down from the top-right corner of any screen to reach Control Center. From there, you can see whether you’re connected to the VPN in the upper-left corner, next to the Wi-Fi signal indicator and the name of your mobile carrier. If the VPN icon is present, you’re connected. If it’s not there, you’re not connected.

GlobalProtect App
For the most complete information on your connection status, open the GlobalProtect app on your iPhone or iPad. When connected, the app shows a bright blue background and a green shield icon in the center of the screen. When disconnected, the app and button appear gray. You can also determine whether you have a failed connection or check other info in via the three-lines menu button.
Android:
Check your VPN status from the status bar or open the GlobalProtect app directly
Android Status Bar
In the status bar at the top-right of your phone screen, you will see a small key icon when connected to the VPN. If the key icon is not visible, you’re not connected.
