Problem

If a display, or any other device connected to the Dell Dock is not working, the Dock Reset should be the first troubleshooting step to attempt to alleviate the problem.

Solution

  1. Unplug all devices from the dock

  2. Hold the power button of the dock down for 30 seconds

  3. Plug the devices back in

  4. If the devices are not working, then you may need to troubleshoot the device itself, if the device works directly plugged into the computer but still doesn’t work in the dock, contact Dell Support for assistance.

A common issue that a dock reset can fix is video not displaying to the monitors, a usb device plugged into the dock is not working, or the power button not working to power on the computer.
