Introduction

This article explains how to convert video from one extension to another (if supported by VLC media player)

Instructions

1. In VLC Media player, go to Media > Convert/Save

   

2. Click + Add

   

3. Locate/Select the video file that you would like to convert, then click Open

   

4. Click Convert/Save

   

5. Under Settings, select the Profile drop down menu, and select the video type that you would like to convert the video to.

   

6. Click Browse next to destination file

   

7. Under File Name, provide the name you would like to give the new file, then click Save.

   

8. Click Start

   

9. Depending on the file size, you may be shown a conversion progress, upon completion, your new file will be saved at the location you selected.
