Introduction

CyberArk’s Workforce Password Management, or WPM for short, is a browser-based password manager for securely storing all non-network account passwords. Website credentials along with sensitive files and notes can be stored and shared in WPM.

WPM uses a browser extension to make accessing and adding your login information from websites to WPM in Chrome or Edge easy. While logged in, WPM will prompt if it senses login information that could be added or used. If you miss the prompt to save your login with WPM, refresh the page and the prompt will reappear.

Setup Steps for Chrome

  1. Open an Chrome browser

  2. Navigate to the browser extension download page for Chrome:

    1. Click Add to Chrome button on right side.

      1. Click refresh button on browser if option is grayed out.

  3. Add the CyberArk extension icon to your browser bar:

    1. Click Extension icon

    2. Click Pin icon next to CyberArk Identity Browser Extension.

Setup Steps for Edge

  1. Open an Edge browser

  2. Navigate to the browser extension download page for Edge:

    1. Click Install button on right side.

    2. Click Add extension on popup window that appears.

  3. Add the CyberArk extension icon to your browser bar:

    1. Click Extension icon

    2. Click next to CyberArk Identity Browser Extension.

    3. Select Show in toolbar from the options menu.

Logging into WPM each day is recommended, especially during the first few weeks while you’re adding new logins login credentials to WPM more frequently.

  1. Sign in using the CyberArk Identity browser extension:

    1. Click the CyberArk Identity icon.

    2. Click Sign In.

    3. Type your email address at the Sign In prompt.

    4. Enter your network credentials at the Ping Sign On prompt.

    5. Follow the corresponding directions as appropriate for your account’s authentication setup:

  1. Click on CyberArk Identity browser icon.

  2. Adjust Settings:

    1. Click toggle to Enable Land&Catch

    2. Click toggle to Disable Browser Password Prompts

For security purposes, WPM is configured to time out after 4 hours of inactivity; however, it’s best practice to log out of WPM at the end of your work day.Thank you for participating in the pilot! If during your use of WPM, you see this message pop up, please click Sign In. There are 2 website links for our WPM instance, the original assigned at setup and the custom that’s easier for users to remember. Sometimes, WPM will flip which link but it’s nothing to be concerned about.
